As an online triathlon coach I write personalised training programmes for all ages and all abilities of athlete. In 2024/5 I had 4 athletes complete the Ironman distance for the very first time plus several personal bests in middle distance (70.3) and other events such as trail running, half marathons and Olympic distance triathlons.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by online programmes or AI ‘coaches’ I can help. Cut out the noise and simplify your training with a real life human coach. Someone who understands the work-life balance, the motivation and emotions you feel when training towards a big scary goal.
How Online Coaching Works
- Initial Consultation
- First up take a look at my coaching page and see if I could be the right fit for you, then we can arrange a call to see if I can help you. I love chatting triathlon, coaching and racing so this is always a no-obligation consultation.
- We discuss your goals, events you have in mind and how I work.
- Identify any strengths and weaknesses as well as time availability for training through the weeks and months.
- Personalised Training Plan
- After this I create tailored training schedule for you designed around your goals and lifestyle.
- Plans include workouts for swimming, cycling and running, and strength training, adapted to your progress. Delivered weekly via the app Training Peaks.
- I also offer a discounted partnership with SCY for runners who provide strength and conditioning workouts ideal for runners and triathletes alike.
- Regular Check-Ins
- Unlimited contact with your coach. I don’t place any limit on how many times you can contact me by WhatsApp, email or phone call. Everyone is different and requires different levels of support. I wouldn’t want to limit my athletes, especially when just starting out.
- Adjustments can made to your training plan anytime based on feedback and performance data. Life happens! And I’m only here to make your life easier.
- I keep my roster of athletes deliberately small so you get the best advice and support in a timely manner.
- Performance Tracking
- I won’t make you buy all the fancy equipment! But if you have a heart rate monitor, power meter or turbo trainer I’ll make sure you get the most out of them.
- Detailed analysis of your data ensures continuous improvement and those all important Personal Bests!
- Advice and Support
- You can expect discussion on race day strategy, kit, nutrition, tapering and recovery tips.
- Ongoing motivation and accountability to keep you on track.
- All the things you don’t get from an AI training plan or non specific programme.
- Post-Race Review
- Debrief to analyse race performance(s) and identify lessons for future training.
